Animal House Vets was set up in 2003 by veterinary surgeon Mark Binns at its latest site at Downend was opened on October 1st 2009.
It initially started when Mark succeeded Julian Wormald at the practice at Chalks Rd in 2004. Chalks Road Veterinary Clinic was and still is a friendly small animal practice which has been on its present site for over 25 years. It underwent a major refurbishment program in 2006 and now is equipped to a high standard with excellent diagnostic and surgical facilities.
The Horse Street Veterinary Clinic was opened in the late 1960s. The site was then a coal merchant's yard - but the buildings have changed a little since those days! In 2005 the practice was taken over by Animal House Vets and underwent a major programme of modernisation and improvement including a new a spacious waiting area and new consulting rooms but we have tried hard to retain its original values of friendliness and personal service. On October 1st 2009, Animal Houser Vets opened its third clinic in Downend on the site of a former butchers shop. The shop was totally gutted and the practice has been built as new.
Our goal is to provide our clients and their pets quality veterinary care and an affordable price.
In effect what this means is that we will
and all at a sensible price.
Whilst we believe that across the 3 sites, we have some excellent facilities, equipment and staff we cannot and do not strive to be experts. However, we do have excellent relationships with a range of referral specialists so that if referral is a option - we can can advise on what would be best for your situation. This does help reduce some of our costs in the practice and therefore enable us to offer you excellent value often when compared to larger practices.
